Tribute to Gillian Derbyshire
Dedicated to the memory of Gill Derbyshire
This page is a tribute to Gill Derbyshire who died of Ovarian Cancer on 22 May 2026. She went gently, gracefully and on her own terms after a determined and positive journey through treatment. She never lost her sense of humour, her generosity or her kindness and we would like you to remember her in that way.
The funeral will be held at 1pm on 17 June at Carmountside Crematorium, Stoke on Trent, with a light buffet and celebration of her life afterwards at Westwood Golf Club. It was her wish that people dress in bright colours.
Family flowers only please, with donations to be split between the Dougie Mac hospice and Ovacome, the ovarian cancer charity. Gill's wish was that the greater part of the collection would go to Dougie Mac.
